MECHANICAL TESTS

It consists of submitting a standardized test piece (fig.1) to a stretching load until it is broken.

It is used to know the resistance that the materials present when they are tensioned, providing information about the mechanical properties of the materials such as: tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and reduction of area.
