Precision machining is the one procedure where dimensional metrology that is responsible for studying the measurement techniques that correctly determine the linear and angular magnitudes is used.
For this type of machining, very demanding geometrical tolerances are used to control the shape, orientation and location of the pieces.
The scope for this type of work can be done in pieces up to 140” (3.5 meters) in diameter that do not exceed a weight of 10 tons.
In shafts, the maximum capacity is 17” (44cm) in diameter or 39´ ft (12 meters) long, with a maximum load of 8 tons.
